Best sushi place in NYC unless you want to spend a crazy amount of money that does not worth. I have been knowing this place for 20 years. Still around while others closed. Great deserts too, they have a pastry shop in a different location providing them deserts. Good sake choices

California roll sandwich ($8.25) and wasabi pigs in a blanket ($2.85) may sound like how AI thinks humans eat but you can really have these at Takahachi Bakery. They have a big selection of traditional and slightly wacky Japanese baked goods and other lunch items available. The California roll sandwich was surprisingly good, but then again I've yet to meet anything that hasn't been made better by a slice of milk bread.

Very nice place to eat sushi. We usually taste the sashimi wherever we are, and this was probably the best one we tried so far. We ordered the sushi - sashimi combined set for two with miso and green tea. Everything was delicious. In the end we decided to try the Yuzu ice cream, and we liked it very. Very polite and helpful staff. The man who served us our food explained every piece of the set we've ordered. And he also cared for our tea cups to be full all the dinner. Thanks very much 😃👍

Having just arrived in New York from Australia, we were very pleased to stumble upon this lovely restaurant. The food was great and the service was excellent, especially our waiter Denny who was attentive, friendly and helpful. It explains why the place was packed and people were willing to wait 15-20 minutes for a table.
