This restaurant came highly recommended by a local, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it’s quite unassuming, but once you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The roti was highly recommended, and although I’ve enjoyed roti before, nothing has come close to this version. Went here for the first time after living in the area for 20 years and boy oh boy…. It was horrible! 20 bucks down the drain and they didn’t have change which was only coins but now I’m even more disappointed! Order drunken noodles and they were super dark, maybe 3/4 pieces of chicken. It disappoints me so that when you bring things to the attention of of these businesses they immediately get defensive. She says oh we weigh the chicken. Ma’am….this was my first meal of the entire day! If you think I wanted to complain about chicken you are wrong! What I wanted was a good meal after a long day.

Overall a mixed experience at Rustic Spoon. We really enjoyed the Fresh Veggie Spring Rolls. I also loved my fruit tea it was sweet and delicious. I am bummed however because neither my wife nor I enjoyed the flavors of our mains. We got steak and udon noodles and the steak was fairly good and well cooked but the noodles had a very off taste. The pad thai had a similar flavor like it had been cooked in a pan that wasn't clean or had residual flavors. We normally love Thai food and flavors - maybe this is just how this spot prepares theirs but it just wasnt for us!
