This is our go to spot in Montclair. Having been to Italy many times, and having an obsession with pastry, I vet my favorite spots thoroughly. To put it simply, the food is outstanding. After taking home a hazelnut flour cake for my wife’s birthday today, and being blown away, yet again, I had to write a review. This is to die for, especially since it is gluten free. The owners are also incredibly sweet and kind, and local to Montclair. If you haven’t been here yet, please support this local business. It’s on a very charming block and offers some of the best baked goods North Jersey.

I am quite disappointed on what i have brought to my friends house as some sweets to enjoy for the night. My wife & I walk into the cafe hoping to get delicious pastries & we were greeted by a young lady who was patient with me being picky & asking questions. I wanted to make sure the things i bring to someones house was worth it, tasted & looked good. She was very accommodating which is a 10/10 service. Stopped in for birthday treats for my husband and was immediately greeted and helped. Friendly staff was helpful in letting us know what was in the pastry case. The prices were a bit high (we got 2 mini cheesecakes, and a tiramisu for almost $23), but the cheesecake was great and had a hint of lemon that really hit the spot. The tiramisu was also really good and not super heavy. Overall I would go back!

I visited this place a couple of days ago and I feel that it’s necessary to say something. Upon entering the cafe, everything seemed normal and average, and in fairness, it wasn’t bad. But, it wasn’t spectacular either. I ordered a cannoli, and was given a small one when there were two distinct sizes: large and small. But nobody asked us which size we preferred, it was just given. In addition, after reading a couple of other reviews, two things have come to my attention: the recurring lemon flavor and the strange responses to low rating reviews.
