Stopped into Dan’s Diner for breakfast and was blown away. I ordered the Country Omelette and also tried the Farmer’s Omelette, and both were absolutely delicious. The Country Omelette was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, while the Farmer’s Omelette was hearty, fresh, and loaded with ingredients. The portions were generous, everything came out hot, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole diner had a welcoming hometown atmosphere. I consider myself somewhat of a diner aficionado around Detroit/Eastside and you have about 3 categories: the Bad (extremely rare), the high end Coney Islands (about 85% of the diners in the area) and then the few Stand Outs. Dan's Diner is a Stand Out. It's extremely high quality but what sets it apart is the special offerings on their menu First off, their omelettes are unique and incredible. Food was delicious for the most part service also, speed and prices were not. Be stickin to Haney's from now on which is more affordable and much nicer inside and out. This place has two Coney's for $13, that's a special, was the only thing on the specials board under $14! Definitely won't be back. Heck after tip we spent almost $40 for an omelette with hash browns and a wrap with fries c'mon!
