We made a dinner reservation for an early Saturday dinner. It seemed silly when we got there but as soon as we ordered the whole place filled up. We got seated by the window, and it was a very entertaining section. The ubereats bot kept passing by and the pedestrians could never leave him alone. Anyways, our server was super sweet and was very good at timing our meals appropriately even ordering it all at once. It was busy around us but we could still hold our conversation with no problem. My Buddy and I visited Chatayee during early Happy Hour on a Friday. While I did make reservations it was actually empty at 4:30ish. We had spring rolls, which were good. We had the happy hour cocktail which had strawberries, it was very good. Unfortunately I did not like the crab pad Thai that my friend ordered for us as a main meal. It had a strange taste. Our server was pleasant as well as the Thai themed decor throughout the space.

A lovely downtown Philly Thai spot! Super friendly staff, devine dishes, and cool cocktails. We stopped in here after an afternoon show at the Kimmel Center on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Their menu goes beyond a run-of-the-mill Thai place, and features several dishes with ancient recipes - truly celebrating the food culture of Thailand and greater Asia - as well as special dishes to feed your adventurous side. Excellent service from everyone. We were always looked after. The food was excellent and great pairing of ingredients and flavor in the basil thai fried rice. Try the thung tong! The happy hour specials are the best bang for the buck. So many vegetarian options!
