Luv the vibe of this Edgewater neighborhood staple. Their pizza here is solid and worth a visit. But there are so many great tavern-style joints in The City, sometimes its more convenience driven to keep going to same resto. But their version is a solid 4.3⭐️s. If Im ever this far north and close to the lake, a definite must try!

Very reluctantly giving 2 stars here. I’ve heard lots of good things about the Candlelite and had eaten here years ago. Atmosphere and service are great, no complaints. A “14 inch” pizza for $31 though? That is very steep. But I was hungry, and there, so I paid the high price, and was quite disappointed. Pizza was fine, not amazing, decent. But not even 14 inches! Shrinkflation is real, but I would appreciate when local businesses don’t mislead their customers, especially when they’re paying $31 for a pizza.

We started off with buffalo wings hot. They were nice and crispy on the outside, tender inside decent size pieces. Very well cooked and tasted great. We also got a large pizza sausage , pepperoni, mushroom and jalepeno. Sausage pieces were a good smaller bite size, lots of pepperoni. Very good size amount of topping and the extra thin crispy crust was very good and liked by all. We ended with the cookie skillet that we almost skipped. Let me just say, DO NOT SKIP THIS!!!
