A very nice meal from start to finish. The restaurant is right on the square but it’s not at all a tourist trap. In fact we were probably the only foreigners there, everyone else was there on their lunch break or meeting friends for a delicious meal. It was white asparagus season, so that was marvelous luck. And the meat stew was outstanding (that gravy!!!). The staff was extremely helpful even though we didn’t speak any Flemish.

This is truly superb food. A veal Wellington cooked to perfection with asparagus and a tarragon sauce. Great salmon too. Good wine selection. Friendly service. Perhaps a touch more expensive than other places but it's definitely worth it.

Carlton is not the usual touristic restaurant in the big Grote Markt. It’s so much more - the food menu has been done with care and all dishes are incredible. The lobster was absolutely delicious. Try it! A big thanks to the staff - everyone was so kind. Happy people make happy places.

it was a very fine dining restaurant with lovely staff, ordered white fish, asparagus soup and oysters. The serving of the soup was incredible, and when we finished it all, they gave us extra soup without increasing its price. I can say that it was the best restaurant I have ever been to. Everything was perfect. If I could I would put 10/5
