My husband and I decided to do Mother’s Day brunch at Milestones on a whim, apparently along with the rest of the city. The place was packed, so we ended up sitting at the bar — which, honestly, we’ve recently discovered is the superior dining experience. Faster service, better people-watching, and no awkward waiting for someone to notice your empty coffee cup. I had the regular breakfast, while my husband bravely ventured into shakshuka territory for the first time. I’m happy to report he survived and is now a full convert.
