Went on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was empty. Was trying to figure out what to order as most of the pastries weren’t priced. Tried to figure out what sandwich to order. The staff was not helpful. And the croissant🥐 was way smaller than the ones in the shelf. When asked the staff she told me they were all the same when they clearly smaller.. food was good. Over all service can be improved.

I truly miss the original owners and god bless his soul. I wanted this business to keep thriving but it’s not the same. The buns are smaller and aren’t as fluffy, the bakery items are very limited and very dry I find. The rest of the store looks dead like I’m in a movie where a small little town is running low on items. The atmosphere used to feel like family the moment you walked through those doors and now I don’t even know how to explain it.

Old school feel to this establishment. It smells heavenly when you walk in and there are seats for eating the food you can get here. I had a sandwich which came on a nice crusty bun. Ingredients were fresh. I got the Portuguese tarts (forgot the real name) which I enjoyed at home. They were fantastic!!! Is definitely say this is a hidden gem in Edmonton.

Since Covid times I have not been able to go to this excellent bakery on Alberta Avenue which now also has washrooms near the community league! Opens at 8am and closes at 3pm serving excellent bakery goods, freshly baked bread and a variety of items from Portugal including salted cod! Friendly staff and day old bakery goods always available at half price!!
