After staggering through the current construction work (both road and pavement), we were welcomed by a friendly group that gave up their table so we could sit near the front! I took up the menu's challenge (no extras will be refused) and had a delicious shepherds pie with a fried egg on top and orangaide. (It was a little bit too busy on a Saturday night.)

do not be deceived by "diner" because diner saint-sauveur serves great tasting meals that are better than some higher end restaurants we have been to. I had the chicken and waffles and lamented that the portion size was not bigger because it was so good and not because it was too small. my wife had the goat cheese and tomato pasta and my daughter and I were stealing bites throughout the meal. our kids ate their "macaroni like at home" so fast that I checked their bowls when they told me they were already done. the only downside was that the whole street was ripped up so it got a little dusty w
