La Buche was a fantastic breakfast spot in Old Quebec. Even though the restaurant was very busy, they were able to seat us immediately, which was a great start to our morning. We enjoyed delicious crepes topped with maple syrup and blueberries, along with thick-cut real bacon coated in maple syrup and freshly made pork rinds with maple syrup. Everything was excellent, full of flavor, and a perfect way to experience some classic Quebec specialties. The service was also very good—friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Our hotel recommended this spot, so we decided to give it a try and we’re glad we did! The place has a really warm and lively vibe, and despite how incredibly busy and packed it was, the staff still managed things well. When we first got seated, the music was a little too loud for our liking, which made it hard to hear each other at first, but thankfully it was turned down after a while and became much more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and overall we had a fun and satisfying experience. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and good food!

What's not to like about La Bouche? It's a whimsical and fun place to eat in old Quebec. It is always busy so reservation is recommended. The staff are friendly, multilingual, professional but not clingy. The food is traditional Quebecoise. The four of us sampled many dishes and all were very good. I started with the New Fashioned cocktail which is delicious. We enjoyed cheese plate, all quality. My wife enjoyed the pea soup which was tasty. I enjoyed a traditional meat pie. Friends enjoyed their varied choices as well. This is an experience you should enjoy when you visit Quebec.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant in Quebec City. It was our first time in the city, and we wanted to start our trip with a great meal. We arrived around lunch time, and the restaurant was quite busy as expected. We were seated in the last room on the left, and it took a while for our server to show up. He served us water (not cold) and dropped off the menus. We explained that we were first-time visitors and didn’t speak French, but our server didn’t seem to mind. He was more focused on setting up tables than on our needs. I had to remind him of our drink orders, and although I
