It was a beautiful sunny day in Pau and the perfect day for having traditional French basque food. The restaurant did not disappoint neither in food, nor in service or atmosphere. We selected the prefix priced menu of the week that was fantastic. To that we added the pâtè en croute that was an incredible treat. My wife tried the green asparagus velouté, while I had the pissaladiere niçoise. Both very good, but I think the velouté won the price! Good food especially la poule au pot! Super juicy and tender chicken with delicious soup. Great wine choices too! Service is top really. We arrived at 7:30pm and the pace was good. I do see some people arriving after 8pm and will need to wait for food for a bit longer.
