Finding the café was a bit confusing at first as you follow the signs inside the building and take the lift up, but it’s not immediately obvious where you’re going. Once up there, it makes sense though. A must if you can, try to sit on the side overlooking Marienplatz, which is a really nice view. Unfortunately, it was full when we arrived, so we were seated on the other side, which is more enclosed and doesn’t have much of a view. We had two coffees and two strudels (around €28 total). Alv C★AVOID!! Not recommended especially for tourists. Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional staff. I waited to be seated and the staff told me to find a free seat since it’s just me. Found a free seat, waited for 10-15 minutes to be served, but no one came so I asked for a menu. However the staff whom I asked the menu had LOUDLY kicked me out of my table even though I explained to him that a waiter told me to find any free seat (so accusing me of skipping the queue even if I was the first one in the line when I got there). Basically they embarrass you in front of other customers for no reason.

However there was one waiter who was rather arrogant and unnecessary difficult (fortunately he wasn’t in my area but I saw how he treated other customers), for example the restaurant was pretty empty when two couples just walked in and looked around for a place to sit, however the waiter in question refused to help them or seat them insisting they go back to the front of house and follow him while he grabbed menus… seems unneeded. Also interestingly when it came to pay the waiters
