Das Dorf is a classic Hamburg restaurant featuring excellent German food. The restaurant is in the basement of the building and a bit tricky to spot at first glance. Once in side, you will enjoy the beautiful and cozy interior. The staff is very friendly and alert and you quickly get to order after sitting down. The menu is very good and features daily specials. We had the good fortune to visit during spargel season and our food was excellent. Das Dorf is a very well-known restaurant so you are best advised to make a reservation. One of the best German restaurants in Hamburg for sure.

Das Dorf is the kind of place you walk into hoping the food is good… and walk out already planning to come back. Had the Wiener Schnitzel with a tap beer after a long tour day and damn… that hit the spot. Proper crispy schnitzel, great atmosphere, warm lighting, no fake trendy nonsense, just a restaurant that knows exactly what it is and does it well. Staff was friendly, relaxed, spoke very good English, and made the whole experience easy and welcoming. Rock ’n roll touring approved.

Fantastic food, beer and service! 🤩 I never got his name (or I forgot) but the man that looked after us was incredibly lovely, warm and welcoming and it left a positive impression on me that he was excited to meet our dog (who we unfortunately left at the hotel) it always means a lot to experience such amazing food and service, in beautiful restaurants, that also are welcoming to our 4-legged friends 🥰 P.s check the price of the water that’s left on the table, before you drink it (€7,80) this was entirely my fault and responsibility to check first, but this is just an FYI for future patrons
