Visited this cafe on a friends recommendation. It’s quite noisy and the seating is not comfortable, the place is quite cramped and needs proper ventilation. The process of getting in there , finding a table then getting a table to finally be able to order is not worth the hassle . Would not recommend visiting on a weekend . Ordered their chicken lemon tikka which was good , the chicken tikka pizza was just average , Leopold style pasta was okay okay , their mutton bara chops were good . Had their crafted Budweiser beer which was average . Would not recommend this overhyped place unless you wanna visit a place that serves just average food . Servers have an attitude problem and they need general behavioural training on how to treat with first time incoming customers.

Had the chance to visit Leopold Cafe and it truly feels like stepping into a piece of Mumbai’s history. Established in 1871, this iconic cafe carries a legacy that you can sense the moment you walk in—right from its vintage interiors to the buzzing, old-school charm.  The atmosphere is lively, slightly chaotic in the best way, and filled with a mix of locals and tourists from around the world. The walls, adorned with memorabilia and stories from the past, give the place a unique character that goes beyond just food.  The menu is extensive, offering everything from Indian to continental and Chinese dishes. The food is tasty and comforting, with generous portions, but the real highlight is enjoying a relaxed meal with a chilled drink while soaking in the vibrant Colaba vibe. A daylong outing in and around Colaba had to be wrapped up at Mumbai's iconic Leopold Cafe. I opted for the first floor air-conditioned seating for respite from Mumbai's scorching heat. Hence, I wasn't able to enjoy the ambience that the ground floor offers. I ordered the mutton keema pav and wasn't disappointed at all - the mince was tender, succulent and cooked to perfection. It was complemented well with the pav. Service, however, was not the best. There was quite a bit of a delay and lack of promptness each time something was asked for. Nonetheless, Leopold Cafe is worth a visit at least once for its history and status.

Leopold Cafe Recommended by the staff, I tried one of their most popular sandwiches, and the taste was excellent. The atmosphere of the café truly preserves its long history and tradition, and being located near the Gateway of India made the experience feel even more historic and memorable. The only small disappointment was the portion of the French fries, which felt a bit small for the price. Also, I think a little more attention to the plating could make the dish look even better. Since the two triangle sandwiches were placed flat on the plate, it slightly lacked dimension. Maybe stacking one piece slightly on top of the other could create a more visually appealing presentation. A slightly more generous serving of fries would also improve the overall balance of the dish. Still, the combination of good food, classic interior design, and the historic atmosphere made this café a special stop in Mumbai.
