A very pleasant and atmospheric place. I was especially impressed by the soup with local Dutch shrimp (“garnalen”) — beautifully balanced in texture, fairly thick yet not a cream soup, with subtle smoky notes that added extra depth. The Caesar salad was also a pleasant surprise, especially the addition of anchovies, which gave the dish an extra layer of flavor and character. Overall, the quality of the food and ingredients was excellent, just as everything else in this restaurant.

This is such a lovely place. We came here specifically to eat bitterballen and have coffee. Everything we ordered was delicious. The bitterballen were perfect. The apple tart was heavenly with the creme on the side. The hot chocolate and Chai latte were perfect. Highly recommend this place in Den Haag for a relaxing afternoon at a Cafe. The staff were super friendly and I remember that the music in the background was very pleasant. Two thumbs up!

So we got the breakfast for two, not reading it was 21 euros PER person. But realizing that wasn’t the issue, it’s the crazy price on what you are given. Especially considering the entire board is only about 10 euro cost if you go to AH. I wish I had taken a picture of the full board before digging in, but I can reiterate what was there. Exactly two pancakes, two croissants, a tiny bowl of eggs, an even smaller bowl of avocado, a small portion of butter already on the pancakes, two pieces of nice cut bread, two slices of cheese and the bottle of syrup.
