Bodegas Almau is a place where you can find an impressive variety of Spanish wines and vermouth—there’s hardly anything you won’t come across. I also highly recommend their tapas, which are definitely worth trying. Another reason I recommend this place is the experience we had there—we met a Romanian family who not only helped us choose the right tapas and wine, but also reassured us that the location is reasonably clean from multiple points of view. Overall, I recommend this place for both the selection and the experience.

Fantastic family run bar, now on the fourth generation. Excellent service and delicious tapas, along with large range of great wines. Great ambience. Try the speciality tapas with anchovy, chocolate and tomato confit.

The vibe is great! We had a seat outside near the garden and it was a pleasant afternoon. The camarero is attentive and quick. Dulce de anchovy was delicious!! The minchito was great too! 4 dishes + 2 glasses of wine = 15,50€

Bodegas Almau serves what sounds like a culinary dare: anchovies with chocolate. At first glance, it feels like a match made in hell—salty fish and sweet cocoa? Surely a joke. But one bite rewires your brain. The briny punch of the anchovies collides with the silky bitterness of the chocolate, and somehow, against all logic, it’s perfect.
