A very consistent, comfortable 1-star dining experience though there could be more highlights as this set is a bit plain. Recommend asking for medium rare for the wagyu if you usually have medium. (03.13)
Most amazing dish is the 白子 with 油炸鬼榨菜葱花。very very thoughtful. Dessert is very average. Not memorable at all. The crispy fish along with the soup is excellent. Very professional wine glasses
Had a really great evening at this restaurant. Good food, nice view over the kitchen, friendly waiters. A bit stingy when it comes to the wine pairing and maybe a bit too fast when delivering the first courses, but all in all a well deserved one star restaurant.

Amazing restaurant with outstanding food and an incredible dining experience. I was greeted and guided throughout every detail and meal. I had an amazing view on this great and well functioning kitchen. The dishes were really good. I will just name a few. Outstanding positively: The dish with the mackerel. Only comment, a little bit difficult to eat. The Octopus dish. Very delicious and to the point cooked with great seasoning and balance. Negative: The non-alcoholic drink pairing. I really enjoyed the second drink (unfortunately forgot the name), but besides this drink I could have skipped this other drinks sadly. Overall, very recommendable and possibly I could talk about this amazing experience for 10 pages in more detail. Next time, if I were to come again (hopefully) I would just change the drinks. Besides that I am looking forward to another meeting. Thanks to a great team

We enjoyed the first 4 dishes the most but things started to go down slightly with some questions to why need to add salmon roe to the octopus for acidity. For me it was too much sour acidity for that dish, I also didn’t like the water sauce mixed with the thicker cream, it’s better to just have one main base sauce and not over complicate the flavours just to achieve balance We had wine and non alcoholic pairing which was quite expensive and waste of money. The servers were incredibly consistent at not pouring much in my glass 🤣 recommend not to do alcohol pairing for that only 3 star for service The eel and mackerel were the best dishes for us

Haili is a French–Japanese–Taiwanese fusion restaurant. The chef combines French cooking techniques with Taiwanese ingredients and cultural influences to create some truly impressive dishes. Overall, the flavors are very well balanced. I especially enjoyed the eel wrap taco and the uni ice cream with the rice ball, both were creative and delicious. The bread also deserves a mention: it was warm, incredibly soft, and almost melted in my mouth, with a wonderful nutty aroma. However, I didn’t enjoy the “鍋燒意麵”. While I appreciate the creativity, this reinterpretation didn’t elevate the traditional southern Taiwanese dish and actually made it less enjoyable. Replacing the iconic fried noodles with rice noodles significantly affected the texture. The dessert was decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.

A great example of how low Michelin standards are in Taiwan. Low level cooking and execution resulting is no depth of flavor whatsoever. Very little cooking is actually happening. Eel was burnt, proteins were sous-vide and sauces weren’t well made combined with gimics like uni ice cream. Might be ‘good for Kaohsiung’ and it wasn’t disgusting food but to say this is a 1-star restaurant is comical.
