Took @myfastpony for a drive out to @jwlees.theaviator — easily one of our favourite spots for a proper Sunday roast. We usually visit on a Sunday and go straight for the sharer (which is always outstanding), but with it being Bank Holiday Monday, we decided to try something different and sampled the Prix Fixe menu for the first time. At £17.45 for two courses or £19.95 for three, it offers fantastic value. My wife started with the prawn and avocado cocktail, while for mains we both opted for the rump steak. To finish, I went for my usual favourite… apple crumble with custard and ice cream.

What a lovely pub! Clean, warm and welcoming! Sarah K our server was so lovely and is the prime example of perfect customer service! The food was delicious & great value. To say this was mine and my boyfriend’s valentines night…. It was perfect and it made our first valentines night extra special. If I can recommend anything to the readers of this review, it’s to visit the pub… you won’t be disappointed, especially if Sarah serves you!!! Go and try it…

First time visiting here for a Sunday lunch. Atmosphere was very relaxed, but staff attention (special mention to Sarah K) was still brilliant. Food was fantastic- chef’s roast dinner choice and puddings for all. Will be back here soon!

We have visited this establishment several times and have experienced a few issues including cold food and missing food. We usually overlook these matters as we enjoy the pub. However, on our most recent visit a manager informed us that we must report these incidents so they can take action. Today we informed the waitress that the food should be warm. She agreed and the food arrived. However, the meat was cold again and contained pieces of fat. We then informed the staff and they took the food away. The manager returned and suggested we warm it up. We declined and requested a fresh meal. The
