This is a smashing pub. Went there last Sunday afternoon. The World Cup is on so it was busy. We sat half inside and half outside. The garden is amazing. Tonnes out people out in the garden milling around enjoying the sunshine. Couldn’t get a menu on first pass but I managed to go up and get one. Ordered on the app as no one came to the table but no drama. Throwbacks to Covid. The food was really good the pie (chicken leek) was delicious. Gorgeous venue, on the outside you'll think this is a cute little spot, but the beauty is out back. This definitely could be a private wedding venue. Service was great and speedy. The food was tasty, I will be coming back for that juicy burger and curly fries. I will be regular customer.

This is my first visit to the Leather bottle in Garratt Lane, I came with two friends for early evening meal. It was a nice atmosphere at the beginning but got louder with a few children/babies. We all had fish & chips the batter was a bit too crispy! What I didn’t like was…. The waiter took two plates while one was still eating, this is considered rude for a waitress to take other people's plates while you are still eating because it can make the person feel rushed and uncomfortable. Also while we were there another female waitress came and put a tile on the table! no explanation, what it was

Came here for 6 nations rugby which had a good atmosphere. Starters were fantastic - the beef cheek croquettes were absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend. Unfortunately the fish and chips was average. ‘Triple cooked chips’ were perhaps cooked once and the mushy peas were an afterthought. Fish was good!
