The Museum of Gloucester is a lovely little museum and well worth visiting, especially considering it’s free. It’s quite small, so you can comfortably see everything without needing a whole afternoon, but there’s still a good mix of local history and interesting displays. One of the things I really appreciated was how family-friendly and accessible it is. The layout is easy to navigate and it feels welcoming for visitors of all ages and needs. I visited with an autistic gentleman who, to be fair, was mainly interested in the dinosaurs. The dinosaur section definitely kept his attention, though

It's a quaint local museum which is well-maintained and contains quite an interesting array of artifacts. There are exhibitions ranging from natural history items (such as dinosaur teeth and claws) found on the landmass of present-day Gloucester, as well as man-made items from various historical periods. Staff were polite here, and the location of the museum is ideal. I saw people of all ages having fun, and the entire environment is very family-friendly.

A lovely local museum. It is free to enter and view all the local history. It is very well curated, taking you from the Jurassic period, when Gloucester was under water, through the Roman and medieval periods up to the modern day city. They also have exhibitions for which there is a £4.95 charge. There was plenty to see for free - though it would be worth paying if you didn't remember life in the 80s too well. There is a self service cafe and a small museum shop.
