I love this place for the way it looks and feels. All your basic meat and veggies requirements to be served here besides a few flower shops. Though, I would have a preferred a better selection of fish. Don't forget to visit the sweets shop which might be of interest to the adults as well.

Hope feels like it left Freeman Street Market some time ago. Aside from a really good retro vinyl record shop which is worth a visit the wider market and street feels run down and neglected. The area is also not that safe which is worth being aware of when visiting. I happen to look like a bit of a thug myself so I was ok but I'd not recommend randomly walking around in the area if you can avoid it. Many former shops are boarded up etc. I was hoping that given the area is located there would be a superb range of fishmongers including here but the only crabs and lobsters on display were plastic

I was surprised how many stalls were closed but I imagine this being a fishing town they work on early hours. The fruit and veg stall was lovely and the meat stalls looked great
