A relaxed environment in which the staff were polite, welcoming and friendly. I thought my decaf coffee was delicious and my husband enjoyed his special offer Organic Filter Coffee that only cost him 99p. However, bear in mind the filter machine is switched off at 4pm every day. We didn't buy food but they had a good selection of sweet and savoury items, fruit, salads and pastries. The Guildford Pret is a bit of an awkward layout in terms of navigating your way past the counter to tables upstairs. With tray in hand, you have to funnel through a narrow gap, past tightly packed seating and bags that spill into the walkway, through a door and up more stairs if there's no seating downstairs, just a bit awkward. I also question why paper cups are being used for customers dining in, when these are checked in with all other rubbish in the cafe, this is particularly strange when there are statements on the wall regarding Pret's environmental values and mission. I pop into this Pret 3-4 times a week and have been served by all the staff who work there at this point, and they are all a credit to the company and themselves! It's very rare to come across consistently amazing service, and the drinks are always made so well :)

I have been here a lot, but today wasn't so good. Very few pastries and buns and upstairs was absolutely freezing. I guess that's one way of getting people out quickly. Downstairs is nicer in that it's warmer but it's often full of prams and pushchairs and screaming babies. The coffee is okay 49 pence in my own cup.
