Visited here last Friday for an evening meal with the fiancée. Once inside we were greeted by a welcoming ambience and friendly staff and shown to our table. We had starters and mains on this visit. Oh my word, not had food that tasted this good in a long time. Staff were super polite and efficient. Remembering everything we wanted and delivering it with welcomed haste! We had a lovely lunch here as part of a birthday celebration. We chose from the set menu, very reasonably priced for 2/3 courses. Starters were all uniformly good - in particular the salmon fishcake and the risotto. The ‘chicken soup’ main was a little underwhelming but thumbs up for the vegetable roulade and fish pie. The coconut parfait was an excellent dessert. Full marks for the fantastic service throughout.

Very welcoming, professional staff. Large basement room but with lots of nooks and crannies so it feels intimate, beautiful decor. Great choice of seasonal dishes and very allergy aware for those with dietary requirements. Good wine list plus bar drinks. Main entrance is down a short flight of steps. Check directly with the restaurant about access for anyone with mobility issues. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to The Tannin Level last week, having had a fabulous meal on our last visit. Well, this was equally fabulous and did not disappoint. ! The early bird menu offers fantastic food at an amazing price. I had a pork chop - wow !, it was huge, tasty, and nothing like what I have bought in supermarkets. Beautiful mash with it.
