We had a great meal at The Crown. We were a bit unlucky with having an over one hour wait for food due to a large party being present. I would recommend the pub making tables aware before their reservation (24-48hrs) of large parties as we probably would have come at a different time! The food was great though when we did get it!

Now this pub is something special, exceptional staff, great beers, and fantastic food. 1st off the ladies behind the bar i salute you, excellent service, super helpful and friendly. 2nd the beer selection is brilliant. And then comes the food, sit down get the menu and order the lot, to the chef and kitchen staff I salute you, superb food, great taste and wanting for nothing So if that's not sorted your head out for a great pub then go the chippy. The crown a magnificent 200 out of ten, go there, go there now.

Now this was a choice by me after reading a number of reviews which did not fully cover just how good this independent pub is. We were VERY pleased that we went here. The menu was small which surprised my wife. However the food was AMAZINGLY tasty and well prepared and presented. I had the Venison Sausages with a Whole Carrot a Cassoulet of Lentils and Kale with deep fried Kale as well. The cassoulet was VERY tasty and with the added texture and taste of the deep fried kale (similar in texture to deep fried seaweed) and the Carrot was excellent. I had the gigli pasta with mussels in white wine, shallot, garlic and parsley sauce, it was delicious. The girl at the bar said that the menu is constantly updated, she was very kind. I liked how the place is decorated. The price was reasonable. Thank you for the good service.
