The beer was good and the atmosphere very nice but the food was very mediocre. Nothing I would recommend if you are looking for a nice Fish and Chips. The sandwiches that my friends ordered were even worse, small and quite dry.

I great traditional pub with a good selection of food. Unfortunately they didn't have any sandwiches the lunchtime I visited but there were some other lighter options. At 12 noon there was plenty of seats but it did get busy over the main lunch period. Seating became available again as things quietened down around 2pm. A good choice of traditional and big label beers.
