My husband and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Yukisan. The staff were efficient, courteous and friendly and the restaurant was very pleasant. We both opted for the taster menu and we weren't disappointed. Each course was delicious and had been expertly prepared. The sauces perfectly complimented each dish and the rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We would recommend and will definitely return when we next visit Plymouth.

My partner and I went here for our anniversary today and I am extremely happy that we did. The restaurant itself isn't the easiest to spot if you dont know Plymouth however we found it easily using Google maps and it was about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. It also had lovely decorations giving the place a calming japanese feel. It also has the option of floor seating to get a more authentic feel while eating. Visited for dinner and the food is delicious with great service. We sat upstairs in the Japanese room which is accessed via a staircase, downstairs there is standard table seating. Staff were really friendly and gave fantastic service, usually crouching down to be level with the floor seating when ordering or delivering food which I really appreciated. It was a cosy atmosphere with light music in the background but at a good level to have easy conversation. Came here with my partner for dinner while staying locally. We shared the 6 course tasting menu and also ordered a chicken udon dish. All of it was great, really enjoyed every dish. Friendly waiter who was also helpful, nice chilled atmosphere. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend.
