We have been to Fancy Hanks a couple of years ago and as we aren’t from York we wanted to come back and experience the amazing food and service that we had two years ago. It was absolutely amazing, the customer service made us feel welcomed and at no point did we feel rushed or pressured to finish and go. I ordered the chicken tenders which came with fries coleslaw and gravy (i asked for no slaw) absolutely no faults with the fries and gravy absolutely unreal, unfortunately i wasn’t a fan of the chicken it tasted slightly burnt for me and wasn’t enjoyable for me. Who i was with ordered the chicken sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw they thoroughly enjoyed all of there meal including the chicken (which was the same just in a bun) so could be personal preference. Paid a visit here on a quick pass through York just get a quick bite while exploring the sights. Opted for some small plate items rather than mains. Team was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend here if you’re looking for something different as this is an American diner style southern comfort food place.

First time to York and just picked one over 4 stars restaurant from google maps. Best location in the core of the core old city center of York. Super nice vibe inside / outside. And nice music. I would say it’s really a big portion for me couldnt even finish. They have some magic while they cook the chicken. Unlike a normal American cuisine, they have really good chicken fillet, really juicy blended with nice spice. This was super tasty. And don’t forget to get a bottle of beer 😉
