My friend and I visited this lovely cafe recently and had a wonderful experience. The staff were so warm and welcoming, made us feel at home straight away. They have an amazing variety of fresh veggie and vegan foods on the menu, we opted for the chocolate fudge cake with warm chocolate sauce, Vegan apple spice cake, accompanied by a hot chocolate and fresh Rooibos tea, utterly delicious. We decided to have dinner here on our day trip to York and were really impressed! We were spoilt for choice on the vegan options. We ordered a mezze and brunch, both were excellent. We finished off with cake, again, really good. The service was friendly and fast, a nice relaxed atmosphere with some impressive art dotted around the place. We would definitely come back here!

Beyond the pale - outrageously expensive for what you get. We have been to Goji in the past for coffee and cakes - though not for a least a couple of years now. We went again on a recent visit to York for lunch (we are both vegetarian). The dish I originally requested wasn't available, so I ordered a tofu sandwich and an aubergine side salad. The tofu sandwich was quite small and whilst the filling was admittedly very tasty, the bread was just a cheap supermarket style part-baked Baguette; there was also a small pot of coleslaw (not in the picture as I gave that to my partner). First things first, the staff are lovely! I was given such personal and attentive service. I’m both vegan and gluten-free, and the staff were fully allergy-aware and knew exactly what was in the food and drinks. The food was absolutely delicious too, with really lovely flavours, and everything was beautifully presented. It’s one of those places you leave in a good mood. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in York!
