Came here on a recommendation from a friend who graduated from UGA. Great recommendation. This is a very popular restaurant with locals and students. I can only imagine how busy this place gets during the school year. It’s open I believe only breakfast and lunch. You walk in, order your food with the cashier plus beverages, they give you a number to take to your table and find a seat. Food is brought out to you as well as your beverages. Mama's Boy is the classic breakfast/brunch place to eat in Athens, though they have a delicious lunch menu as well! Seating is limited, but it's worth the wait for the food and the atmosphere. The service is excellent as well with friendly accommodating staff. You can't visit Athens without making a trip to Mama's Boy!

As we arrived, I noticed the parking lot was small. There was another lot behind the restaurant, but we couldn’t tell if it was for overflow or exclusively for the nearby park. We waited a few minutes in the main lot until a space opened up. After securing a spot, we approached two young hosts standing at the outside podium.
