Unfortunately, the order was incorrect in several ways: - Color: The frosting was supposed to be pink/lavender (bakery was provided with numerous photos), but it arrived in a peach/orange shade. - Flavor: I specifically ordered a vanilla cake because my daughter does not eat chocolate. However, when the restaurant cut into the cake, it was marble. - Design and Execution: Despite choosing your bakery for your reputation, both the design and flavors were completely wrong. Sugar Baking Company is spectacular. The Brambles are their claim to fame and they are delicious. However they make all kinds of lovely pastries to try. The staff is friendly and efficient. They are also exceptionally patient. I witnessed a rather difficult customer at the counter and the associate was professional and kind, never letting any sign of impatience show. Thank you for making wonderful patries and for being so kind to your customers.

A review for any vegan hopefuls: they offer vegan “donuts” but they look and taste like a gluten free muffin you’d buy in the frozen section at the grocery store. They resemble donuts only in shape. As a vegan I am more offended by such a disappointing offering than if you didn’t offer anything at all.

Sugar Bakery on Centre Street holds a special place in my heart. Every year, I celebrate Mother’s Day by honoring the amazing mothers in my life with their delightful cupcakes.
