Sunrise/Sunset is such a staple for the neighborhood. This place is so lovely and the staff is wonderful! However, it's pretty unacceptable for a barista to stand out front on the benches, smoke a cigarette and return to work WITHOUT washing his hands. We observed him immediately walk back inside, and start touching the coffee machine, syrups, and making orders. Beyond unsanitary.

As a someone who lives just around the block, Sunrise Sunset has become one of my staple coffee shops, and I have quickly become a regular. Let me preface this by saying I have worked in the restaurant/customer service industry for 5 years, and always try to give the benefit of the doubt! The food is delicious (albeit long wait times). I highly recommend the Biscuits and Mushroom Gravy! The vibe is super cute, and feels very homey/neighborhoody, which I love! The only issue I have comes down to service, and it is SO hit or miss.
