I was really disappointed with the size of my $22 burrito. It did taste good. I asked for extra carne asada was upcharged seven dollars and extremely disappointed with the portion size. The cashier was a young girl. I'm not sure if she wanted to charge me huero price or forgot to communicate with the kitchen or what.

Just happened to stop at this gas station and saw this inside. We ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito with beans. The burrito was amazingly good. Honestly one of the best chorizo burritos I’ve had from a little gas station fast food spot. Maybe even ever from fast food or restaurants. It was filled and the burrito was wrapped perfectly. And the salsa was delicious. Bomb!!

Extremely expensive for decent food. Very few, if any are under 10 bucks. More often than not, when I visit, they are cleaning the grill so you are limited to only ordering rolled tacos or nachos. Being open 24hrs is the only reason I visit. A "normal" size carne asada burrito w/ cheese will run you shy of $20 regardless of when you visit. And isn't better or bigger than other places.

My wife and I stop in here and get late night dinner after we get off work late and are too tired to cook. Of all the late night Mexican fast food in San Marcos, this Jilbertos is the best in our opinion. My wife especially enjoys the shredded beef they use in plates like hard shell tacos and rolled taquitos. I like their carne asada, usually in a quesadilla. They use fresh cheese and their guacamole is typically fresh, even late into the evening. I will definitely miss this Jilbertos when I move.
