I had dinner at Sabor de Cuba recently and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I started with the sizzling shrimp appetizer and it was incredible. Perfectly seasoned and literally sizzling when it hit the table. For my main course, I ordered the bistec de palomilla and it did not disappoint. Tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. My girls and I stopped by Sabor de Cuba for an early dinner on a beautiful sunny day in Frederick. A kind hostess immediately brought us to our table and took our drink orders. We ordered pineapple soda, mango juice, and guava juice. All three were extremely tasty, but the guava juice particularly stood out. We got the empanadas de carne as a starter, and the crust was so flaky, which served as a great contrast to the softness of the filling. My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience at Sabor de Cuba. The service was one of the highlights of our visit. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, and other staff members also checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the Yuca Frita, which was cooked very well — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My wife and I visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. There’s meter parking on the street and garage parking available. Our table was ready when we arrived. For appetizers, we ordered chicken empanadas and Tostones rellenos. As for our entrees, we had Pernil with white rice, black beans, and tostones, and Masitas de Puerco with the same sides. For dessert, we indulged in Flan de coco and Tres leche cake. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken and pork were perfectly seasoned and tender. We’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.
