This restaurant is mediocre compared to other Arabic restaurants in Houston. The food is good, but the menu is not diverse. They only offer a limited variety of common Arabic and Middle Eastern food. I prefer Layal at Hilcroft to this one. They have much more beautiful atmosphere and a menu with a very good variety of options.

Layal Middle Eastern Restaurant is a gem in Houston. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything we ordered was well-seasoned and authentic, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can really feel the love for the cuisine here, home made breads and all. Highly recommend if you’re craving quality Middle Eastern food. We’ll definitely be back!

I just read a bad review about Cafe Layal in Midtown Houston....and I will say that review is just a stuck up person complaining. Cafe Layal has been in business many years. They offer a variety of very healthy quality Mediterranean food. The owner is there just about every day. He cares about his staff, his business, his customers. They have fresh smoothies and hookah.
