We found this spot on TikTok and what a find it turned out to be. We visited GoOystuh, which is located inside of Texas Tailgate. Parking is limited, so be prepared for that, but it is absolutely worth the effort. Jon is a humble, down-to-earth Houston native who makes truly delicious food. What stood out most was that he did not just prepare the food, he also took the time to sit with us, talk, and share his story and process. Visiting this place for the first time with a group of six was such a delightful experience. There was plenty of parking available, which made it easy to arrive. We chose to sit outside, and the service was impressively quick. The true highlight, though, was the food! We enjoyed a mix of baked and raw oysters, along with seafood baskets and each bite was bursting with flavor. It was evident how much care the chef puts into their dishes, and they were so friendly as well. It really made our visit feel special.

Another TikTok failure. Went for the chargrilled oysters and was sorely disappointed. Shallow cup, cocktail oysters should be served raw - by the time you grill them, all the moisture evaporates and there's nothing left. They were out of their famous sauce, and the wait staff literally brought our food out one serving at a time - it was if they'd bring out a plate and go back and cook the another one. It took :57 minutes for all 5 of us to be served and there were only 4 other people in the whole place. Staff was nice, but the operation is absolute madness.
