For German food in Tennessee this is pretty good place. While I wasn’t a huge fan of my schnitzel as the gravy was too thick not the spatzle as it was burnt and especially the potato skins as just wasn’t for me, the rest of my part loved everything and I’m just spoiled from living in Germany for 4 years. The service was great and attentive and knew their menu. The decor was great and in beautiful downtown Johnson city. My son was over the moon for the goulash and I really did enjoy my time. I’d try again and just order different so all my food wasn’t on top my other food.

It has been a minute since I ate some good German food. The food was great and the portions were plentiful. All the food we ate tasted like authentic German food. The only thing I wish they had was some good German mustard. The waitress was very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is in a old building, they need to invest in some repairs and a fresh update. Otherwise, I will be back when I am in the area.

If you’re looking for authentic German cuisine, look no further—this place is as authentic as it gets! The food is absolutely delicious. We loved it so much that we came back two days in a row. The service was excellent, especially at the bar, where we had some great conversations with the staff. They gave us spot-on recommendations, and everything we tried was phenomenal. The pretzels are soft, warm, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, sandwiches, or schnitzel, you simply can’t go wrong here. Pair your meal with an ice-cold stein of beer for the full ex
