Oooooo! We really liked the food here. Even though we were already full, we still wanted to order the Grilled Killer Fish Taco and the Key Lime Catch entrée. Both were delicious, but my husband said the taco was the best he’s ever had! The service was great as well. The restaurant is quite spacious, and it seems like they have entrances on both sides. The area we sat in was quiet, with only a few tables occupied. The lighting is dim, and the place has a slightly older, but lively vibe.

Corrected Kaya Island Eats review: 5 stars This was a classic example of not judging a book by its cover. Kaya Island Eats looks low-key from the street, but it ended up being exactly the kind of local joint we were looking for. It is the opposite of the fancy tourist-trap restaurants, and the food was excellent. The layout is a little unusual in a good way. You go through the bar area toward the back to find the hostess, and the restaurant stretches behind the storefronts into different spaces, including outdoor seating tucked off to the sides. Dined: 5/27/26 We arrived to Key West on The Celebrity Reflection Cruise Ship. After walking to the Southernmost Point, a local Key Wester recommend Kaya Island Eats. We split their Blackened Shrimp Tacos and they are AWESOME / PHENOMENAL! There had to be 12-14 perfectly cooked shrimps on 2 flour tortillas. The mango pineapple salsa and coleslaw are perfect condiments! Our server was extremely friendly & fast! We will be back! Highly recommend!

We went on a charter and caught tuna. This place came highly recommended by several people. They prepared it 4 different ways and each was better than the next. It all tasted amazing. The service was great! The owner came to our table to greet us and explained in detail how it would be prepared. We also ordered a cheeseburger and huli huli chicken, which both were well prepared and all tasted great. I highly recommend this place.
