Absolutely the best diner we've been too in Lake Charles! Food, service, atmosphere...all superb! Small gaming room but didn't go in. Prices were so cheap!! 2 of us ate breakfast for $17.00...tasty, tasty, tasty!

I really enjoyed stopping here for a hearty, classic American meal. The old-timey feel of the diner creates a super welcoming environment that makes you want to sit and stay for a while. Everything I ordered was cooked just right, and it is honestly a great spot if you are in the mood for some comfort food.

Yesterday, I had a KD’s Special poboy. It was delicious. It came out promptly and exactly the way I’d ordered. The waitress was accommodating and attentive. It’s always a relaxed scene during the day. It gets 4 stars on atmosphere because the staff were talking loudly about work (critically) and the warehouse-ish “cool white” lightbulbs are harsh on the eyes. The booths are always comfortable, and the moderate noise level is what’s to be expected (and some of the charm) of a diner.

Solid local divey breakfast dive spot. Got the KD special or something like that. Eggs, two sausage patties, biscuit and grits with coffee. Mom's got the two pancake plate. Food was good. Grits required salt and butter but good once hooked up. Biscuit was average. Sausage patties were solidly porky. Pancakes were huge. Soft and good. Felt like a real local spot. All that food was less that $20. Came out quick, service was friendly. Would make it a staple when in Lake Charles.
