This was completely worth the hype and wait. We waited about an hour to get in, BUT it was spring break weekend so I believe that’s the reason why it was so crowded. Everything we got was amazing. We got a matcha latte, cappuccino, and a select few pastries and food. The best thing we got was this like mushroom toast. It was genuinely so good. We also got the avocado toast, but we agree with some other reviews that it was slightly too salty. However, the presentation was beautiful. We had a few toasts, the avocado toast and an incredible salmon toast. Both were as beautiful as they were delicious. We also got a lot of pastries. The ginger scone was especially good. We also had the pistachio rose croissant, the cinnamon swirl with whipped cream, a ham and cheese croissant, maple bacon crossing and the blackberry donut which is hands down the best donut I've eaten in my life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alta Bakery & Cafe was one of our favorite stops in Monterey. The croissants were absolutely incredible—the best I’ve ever had. Flaky, buttery, perfectly baked, and made with so much care. You can tell they’re crafted by people who truly love what they do. The warm atmosphere and friendly service made everything even better. Sitting with a coffee and enjoying one of their beautiful croissants was a perfect way to start the day. Thank you, Alta Bakery, for such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to come back!

This place is unbelievable. The food is fantastic. Everything we ordered was perfection. The flavors just melt in your mouth. From brownies to the mushroom melt, and the Reuben Alta has it all. The outdoor dining and also indoor dining, makes it perfect for doing school or just a day date. My wife and I absolutely loved it! 😊
