Thursday January 1, 2026 The food was good. I had mashed potatoes with the brown gravy and fried chicken, coleslaw, cottage cheese, and cream corn.0 Good and tasty I also had a salad with lettuce, cucumber, shredded cheese, shredded carrots, black olives, with a ranch dressing, potato salad and macaroni salad. I didn't like the lettuce as it was not fresh (browning). Otherwise the food was good. This time the coleslaw and cottage cheese were good. Today was the worst experience I have ever had at a Shoneys. We were the first customers in the place. They unlocked the door 10 minutes late. Employees parked right at the front door. The floors hadn't been swept from the night before, tables had not been cleaned from the night before, the condiments on our table was pretty much empty ( had to get some from another table), the breakfast bar wasn't setup,had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to set it up, some of the food was cold wasn't even hot. There was only 3 people in the whole place working and it was a Saturday morning. We never even

Servers are a little bit slow getting your stuff to you. The catfish and chicken is pretty good. Heard them say when they ran out of chicken and it takes 20 minutes to get it back on the bar.

In all honesty. I can't speak about the food. We wrnt in, looked at the buffet, went back to our table and requested a menu. The menu wasn't very appealing and neither was the buffet. The food on the buffet appeared to have been there a little while. There may have been 10 or 12 people in the whole place not counting employees. Our would ha e been waitress was very, very sweet. She wore a smile and was so polite even when we told her that we had decided not to stay. Now that is a sweet young lady!!! The restaurant appeared clean and the folks eating there seemed content.
