I grew up two miles from Expressway and shockingly I’ve never been here. My friend and I visited the other day. I ordered pit turkey sandwich with cheese and mayo and side order of Mac n cheese. My friend ordered the pit beef sandwich and side order of honey old bay wings. Both sandwiches were just okay and both rated 6/10…which was a bit disappointing. Ordered two cheese burgers last night one medium rare and one well done. Both were well done which didn’t make my husband happy! Both were dry and had no seasoning. Just some salt and pepper would have been nice!

Stopped after a bike ride and ordered the Pit Beef. The sandwich was huge. But the meat was a little dry. Enjoyed the fact they offer onions and horseradish. They have BBQ sauce, but no "tiger" sauce. I'd come back for the sandwich. Service was quick and friendly on a Sunday.

I read some of the reviews, and I found the reviews (not the food) disappointing. Someone rated this place a 3/5 because they didn’t know the some entrees were made to order and had to wait 20 minutes. People love that food is made to order and not just sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be purchased. My sister orders from here 2-3x per year. Slightly larger orders for at home party’s, and I can say the food has never disappointed. I wish they had a location in northern Virginia!
