Came here for the first time on a Thursday around 1pm. My husband and I were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress Carmen was very nice and attentive. She took our drink order right away and offered us free chips and salsa. We both had Pacifico draft beer, not the coldest. We then ordered an appetizer. We opted for the nachos and added carne asada to them and they were delicious! The carne was seasoned very well, this was by far our favorite and will definitely order these again as they are shareable and filling. This was my first visit to Kalaveras and it will NOT be my last! I love this place. The atmosphere is great, the food was delicious and the service was great as well. I got tacos. I loved the Taco bar. I ordered 3 tacos. 2 chicken and 1 pastor. I've never had pastor. It was good. My aunt ordered the chicken tostada. It was big and she really enjoyed it. Now that I know what I've been missing, I can't wait to come again.

Kalaveras is a vibe. Food is decent . Taco Tuesday is a must. You tell the server how many tacos you want. They give you a receipt and you go to the back and someone heats up your tortillas. Then you tell them what types of tacos you want and then they place the meat on your tortilla. Then you go to the salsa bar and dress up your tacos. Tacos were decent. My least favorite is pastor bc they cube the meat and that made it chewy. Asada was decent but I wished it had a crispy char on the outside. I loved the barbacoa . Skip the chicarron .
