BREAKFAST SPOT IN POWAY A great diner for breakfast in Poway. (Located in the Target strip mall, near Carl's Jr). If you want to save your waistline and your wallet, I would advise you share a dish here -- portions are big and prices have gone up! We both ordered crêpes and had to take some home. Best pancakes and breakfast ever! I’ve heard so many good things about this place, and they were all true. First, the food was exceptionally good. We had an omelette with spinach and Swiss cheese that was huge, more than enough for two people. The filling was abundant and the cheese was amazing. I love the thick French toast and German pancake here. I find their regular pancake a bit dense, but that's just a personal preference. We've always gotten great service but tend to get the same server, which we love. The bathroom is kid friendly with kid seats and step stools. Things to note: The place can get very very crowded and noisy during peak weekend hours, sometimes too hard to hold a conversation.
