This place is warm and cozy. It is always packed eveytime we come here. The food is amazing. The mussels are the best around. They come with bread and frites. Omg the frites were fresh and soo good. We also get the cheese board. We have never had a bad meal here. The selection of beers are nice. There is a full bar. It is such a good vibe.

I just want to say: WOW. This is a small place but if you come in early, you might snag the biggest table they have for 7 people! Our server was very knowledgeable in explaining the food choices. Based on the reviews here, I went ahead and ordered the classic Mussels. What I didn't know that it could be cooked another way: Thai coconut curry and another- I completely forgot at that point because I was so mesmerized by the amount of variety of Beers they had. I have been told about Monk's for years, and I finally made the trip. Worth the wait! An incredible beer selection and amazing food -- we had a blast. Only caution i'll tell out of towners (like me): This is a Philly Institution, so be prepared to wait. Fortunately, there is a bar.
