Unsure if this cafe is actually retro, but I do know it’s a dependable espresso - and cortado - option near Central Library. Ample seating to chill solo, or bring a group and hang at the communal table. Pro Tip: If it’s during the week and you look like an office worker, sneak into the gorgeous lobby next door. I’ve had tasty brekkie sammiches here - and fun fact, Retro introduced me to Secret Aardvark's hot sauces - the perfect addition to any sandwich. This is an embarrassingly overdue review (I first came here in 2022!). Credit accepted.

Started at the Crowne Plaza and picked this place due to proximity. It's two and a half blocks away albeit mostly uphill. I had an oat milk latte and an orange/hazelnut pin wheel pastry. Both were good, but the pinwheel was particularly good. I would stop here again and I would recommend it.

I stopped by this coffee shop while scouting local builders for a nearby project, and im glad i did! The ambience is fantastic- really calm and well designed-making it the perfect spot to take a breather. I decided to grab a coffee, and it was exactly what i needed. Great vibes and quality brews definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
