I've been living in Atlanta for almost 9 years. I've driven by this place 1000 times... I've lived in the Marietta and Smyrna area the majority of my time here and never stopped to eat here. Yesterday A friend of mine took me and the food was great... It is casual dining... It has the same environment as a Panera or Jasons deli... I kept trying to give this place a chance as I’ve had good experiences as well as bad but I think I’m not going back now. I’ve ordered in person, online, and called in. I get the same thing a Caesar Salad every single time and there is 8/10 times something wrong. Wilted romaine lettuce is the main thing, nasty looking gunk in the outside of my container. I had never been to a Newk’s and I was driving by this Smyrna location and decided to have some lunch, and I’m glad I did! When you walk in it is clean, kind of eclectic seating with tables and booths and some seats on a bar with cushions so you have a nice selection of seating options. Since I hadn’t eaten here before I spoke with the cashier, very pleasant and helpful fellow. He recommended the Newk’s Q sandwich, which is chicken, bacon and some kind of white BBQ sauce on a slightly crunchy hoagie roll, it was exactly the sandwich I was hoping it would be. Visited the Smyrna location & as always the staff is always helpful & kind. They have best loaded baked potato soup that exists! As well as chicken salad, 10/10 recommend.
