Very disappointed with this order. I ordered a meat lover pizza, but instead received a gyro and pepperoni pizza, which was completely wrong. On top of that, the pizza arrived in terrible condition—slices were smashed together, toppings were all over the place, and the box was soaked with grease. It looked mishandled during delivery. This is unacceptable and not the quality or care I expected. I’ve attached pictures to show how it arrived.

I learned about Italian Express from the fantastic Chicago Tribune feature on it and the family behind it. The enthusiasm of their fans and the lovely "American Dream" story of the owner and their family was enough to make me want to try it. But I was unprepared for just HOW amazing my spicy gyros was. I know understand why their fans are SO devoted. It's like no other gyros I've ever had....in the best way. Enormous portion, fantastic flavors, fast service, everything you could ever ask for. I look forward to eating my way through the rest of their menu and I encourage YOU to do the same!

Before I liked this place but recently, I had a bad experience with them. I went there with my family and I called 40 minute early to reserve my spot. When I arrived there, the front desk lady brought our food and plates. But she didn’t bring any cutlery, then I called her to bring cutlery for us and she just brought a few knifes and forks that weren’t enough for all of us. I called her for more cutlery and she ignored me and acted like she didn’t care. Then I asked her for drinks, and she brought Pepsi in a really dirty jug. I hope the business owner takes better care of their service.

Great experience at Italian Express on Devon. The food was fresh, hot, and really flavorful, with generous portions and good quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and service was quick even when busy. Overall, a solid spot for tasty Italian food at a reasonable price I’ll definitely be back.
