Got ham&cheese croissant for breakfast to go. Definitely the best I’ve tried in Melbourne!! Crispy & flaky on the outside, but cheesy & melty with some bechamel (?) sauce inside. Have to come back to get their sweet pastries as well! EDIT: the other day had a sweet potato cruffin and OMG it was sooooo good I almost cried!! Sweet & savory combo just hit the spot. I think it had some fried corn flakes on top. Chocolate almond croissant was definitely one of the best I’ve tasted and let me tell you I’m almost professional as looking for the perfect one 😅 very crispy on the outside and inside I

Heard many great reviews and the pastries really lived up to its name!! My sister and I got a raspberry pastry and their plain croissant (bread style) to share. I definitely liked the raspberry one better as there was a good balance between the sweetness of the custard and the tartness of the berries. They have another outlet right next to queen vic market but they have a different selection of pastries. Def give it a try if you are in the area💥

Publique Bakery in the CBD is such a great addition to the area, especially with its newer location tucked away on Blender Lane near Queen Victoria Market. It took me a little adventure to find it (it’s slightly hidden off the main strip) but once you get there, it absolutely delivers. This location is noticeably larger than their small kiosk inside Queen Vic Market, and it really allows them to showcase the full range of what they do. Publique is known for its French-style artisan baking, with pastries and breads made using traditional techniques but with a modern twist. You can see that

A small bakery with a limited seating area, especially during busy times. However, the coffee is absolutely delicious—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The selection of pastries is good, but the halal options are quite limited, which may not suit everyone. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quick coffee, but not the best place if you’re looking to sit and relax.
