Kristel Van Loock★★★★★

Intimate, beautiful and authentic fine dining restaurant in a lovely setting with a large terrace located in a small hidden side street (cul-de-sac) in the heart of Mechelen. The interior is really special, featuring a homemade tropical tree with brightly coloured leaves, which creates a very romantic and cozy atmosphere. The Asian-inspired food was delicious and beautifully served! Every dish from the 4-course menu was a culinary and visual delight for the taste-buds, nose and eyes! Service was a bit slow but very friendly! A hidden gem for foodies!

I cannot believe I had not tried this place before. The service was fantastic, the host patiently explained every dish in English and in French (which was very much appreciated) and the food/wine was an adventure. We will be back soon - Phil (march 2026)

Would rate 3,5 star if it was an option, in my opinion not worth 4 stars ( considering price/quality). I opted for the 4 course diner with an appetiser and some aperitif & wine. The whole experience felt overpriced and lacking flavour, also the drinks were not to my taste. Maybe not my type of menu/restaurant, maybe it’s not what it used to be (reading positive reviews). Will not return in any case.

We ate here on a short trip to Mechelen and were delighted by our experience. The food, with strong Japanese influences, was fresh and tasty and made the most of the ingredients’ flavours. The serving staff were charming although the dishes were a bit slow to come out. Having said that the restaurant was full and each dish was freshly made and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself, in an end house next to a béguinage, has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with decent space between the tables. In short, one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time.
